A working musician throughout his life Denny was playing an average of 15+ gigs a month. He regularly backed Lou Ann Barton at C-boys and the Continental Club, and continued to play other gigs w/ other folks from time to time. He also held multiple weekly residencies throughout his tenure in Austin, until the Coronavirus pandemic struck.

Before the pandemic, Denny also played with Louann Barton at C-Boy’s Heart and Soul, and the Continental Club, and other gigs with other folks that popped up from time to time. Starting in January 2020 the John Reed Band also played the matinee at the Continental Club, also on S. Congress, from 3:30- 6:00 on Saturdays.

On Tuesdays, from 6:30 -8:00 we play a Happy Hour show, no cover, at Antone’s, on E. 6th St. Sometimes other shows replace ours, but we play the Tuesdays more often than not…it’s a blues oriented gig..
The regular band is Mike Keller, Eve Monsees and Denny, on guitar, Corey Keller on drums, and Sarah Brown on Bass. Mike, Eve Sarah, and Corey are also on vocals.
